There are plenty of attractions across Queensland and surrounding states to suit every riders requirements. Whether you're in the mood for getting up close with wild life, kicking back on a secluded river or riding the open road, we've got it covered. What better way to do it - see it all on a Rental Motorcycle from Morgan and Wacker.

North Queensland

Port Douglas - Cairns - Most famous for it’s four mile beach, magnificent scenery and old world charm. A Complete Tropical Experience.

Back to Basics – An Aussie Adventure - Cairns Night Zoo with BBQ Dinner - The Cairns night zoo is described as a uniquely Australian night out. Have a yarn or two with the resident ‘Swaggie’ by his campfire and experience the Great Aussie Entertainment. Authentic bush dances and sing alongs and  Traditional Billy Tea. Guaranteed to be a night you will remember.

Atherton Tablelands Loop - Only a couple of hours south west from cairns and amongst vast tropical rainforests. As you travel along the winding roads, discover the peaceful environment with it’s fresh climate. The real trick is to go slowly enough to take in some of the highlights. Travel to Yungaburra, along the Gillies Highway and check the curtain fig tree. It’s Touristy, but makes for great pics. With good reason, the Gillies Highway through Gordon Vale is a must do for any Motorcycle enthusiast although, be aware of slippery surfaces. Be sure to check our Kuranda Markets.

Undara Volcanic Park, The Lava Lodge – The Undara Experience This Unique Experience, will allow you to walk in the path of a volcano. Located 275 klms south west of cairns, Savannah Way, via Mt Surprise, Queensland. This is where you will create a milestone in the kind of adventure you are seeking. Experience the Lava Tubes – part of the longest lava flow from a single volcanic crater on Earth. Walk with wildlife and perhaps enjoy a candle lit dinner on a secluded tram.

Townsville / Great Barrier Reef -The gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Bound by Mission Beach to the north, Charters Towers to the west, and Bowen in the south. The five resort islands - Dunk, Magnetic, Orpheus, Hinchinbrook and Bedarra - are all different in character and all offer a unique experience for the holidaymaker.

Townsville's many attractions include the world's largest living coral reef aquarium, a wildlife sanctuary, casino, beaches, museums, theatres, galleries and restaurants. In just hours, you can move from lush rainforests to the Great Barrier Reef.

Charters Towers - Superb historic mining town full of gracious buildings and surrounded by numerous unusual and interesting attractions.  Charters Towers is arguably the most beautiful inland city in Queensland.

Located 130 km south-west of Townsville, 1506 km from Brisbane via Townsville and 310 m above sea-level, Charters Towers lies on gently undulating country 138 km east of the Great Dividing Range. It is about 200 km east of the edge of the vast flat plains which extend across to the Gulf of Carpentaria and into far western Queensland. From here, explore the outback by travelling west to Mt Isa.

Mt Isa - Mount Isa is a vast, progressive mining city located in the heart of North-West Queensland. The summer months are hot with average maximum to be in the high 30s. Winter is much more pleasant. When travelling to Mt Isa, ensure to stay hydrated and be aware of roaming livestock and road trains.

Take in some culture and history at Mt Isa’s newest attraction Outback at Isa.

Longreach - Visit Longreach if Picnicking in the shade of a coolibah tree or soaking up Austraila’s historical spirit  with  panoramic views is what you are looking for.  Located 1181klms north west of Brisbane, Longreach offers endless interesting things to do and see.

Did you know - all the streets in Longreach are named after birds. Streets named after water birds run east-west and those named after land birds run north-south


Mackay / Proserpine / Whitsunday Islands - The Whitsundays is about 1125 km north of Brisbane. The options here are limitless and the weather is kind all year round. Travel though Proserpine to Airlie Beach – the gates to the Whitsunday’s and discover the magnificent serenity of this tropical wonderland. Accommodation ranges from Backpacker to 5 star resort style villa’s. A must do adventure includes over night or day trips to the surrounding Islands.  All transfers and day trips can be arranged through a travel agency on the main street of Airlie Beach. Nightlife is buzzing with entertainment and activities to suit all tastes. You certainly wont be disappointed.

Cania Gorge National Park – 12klms North from Monto on Burnett Highway - Discover the shear beauty of the Cania Gorge national park, where dramatic sandstone rock formations overlook lush forest gullies. Visitors enjoy an amazing variety of scenery, wildlife and history along the many walking tracks available. Travel 12km North from Monto on the Burnett Highway. Branch off onto the sealed Cania Road for 14km passing through the small settlement of Moonford.

Experience the wildlife, bush walks, rest areas and the available accommodation.
 

Sunshine Hinterland and Coastal Region

Glass House Mountains - From Brisbane, the are a variety of scenic routes available. Via Samford road, your journey takes you through Samford village and on your way to Dayborough, which then links to the Bruce Highway. Alternatively, climb the famous Mt Nebo, then cut back to Samford. It’s a very steep road and beware of cyclists.

Glass House Mountains have become one of the premier tourist attractions on the Coast. Located inland from Caboolture and 61 km from Brisbane.  From here, you can travel east past Ewen Maddic Dam to the Sunshine Coast, North to Maleny or Montville; or south towards Brisbane via Caboolture.

Inland – Brisbane

Toowoomba - Situated on the peak of the Great Dividing Ranges and only 90 minutes drive from Brisbane. Toowoomba offers panoramic views, scenic tours and is well know for it’s beautiful parks and gardens. A Pub on every corner, A truly wonderful experience.

Jondaryan Woolshed Historical Museum and Park - Jondaryan Woolshed is located on the Darling Downs, 3 kms south of the Warrego Highway at Jondaryan, 45 kilometres west of Toowoomba over the Great Dividing Range. It is only two and a half hours drive from Brisbane.

Established in 1975, the Jondaryan Woolshed is of great historical interest. Easily accessible on a day trip, Jondaryan Woolshed is of particular interest to people fascinated by our rural heritage. The attraction features historic buildings, machinery, equipment and collections which have been obtained and restored over the past 25 years.

 

Gold Coast Hinterland and Coastal Region
The Gold Coast offer great scenic routes and tourist attractions. There is plenty of things to see and do. Famous for its theme parks, stunning beaches and subtropical rainforests, the Gold Coast boasts 70 kilometres of uninterrupted coastline and 26 patrolled beaches.


Mt Tamborine - Mount Tamborine is positioned directly west from Surfers Paradise. It offers winding roads, great scenery and panoramic views. After rain the waterfalls are truly amazing, see the surrounding mountain tops cover with mist. Stop for lunch at St Bernard Hotel. It offers beautiful meals at affordable prices. The Tamborine Markets are held on the second Sunday of every month and are worth a visit.

Springbrook and Natural Arch - The Gold Coast Hinterland is a bit of a Motorcyclist’s heaven. Treat yourself. Take a ride to Natural Arch. Located on the Numinbah Valley Road between Nerang and Murwillumbah. The Roads consist of curvy lines, sharp corners, narrow curved wooden bridges, and hairpins, however, the road up the mountain to Springbrook is safe but certainly not for the faint-hearted. Springbrook has a reputation for its fantastic waterfalls. The Natural Bridge National Park, hosts a number of walking trails. One walk that you should definitely follow is the 1km walk through the Natural Arch to the glow worm cave. Don’t forget to take a swim in the refreshing and absolutely beautiful Waringa Pool. An experience you won’t forget!


Tourist Attractions

Dreamworld - The Gold Coast's largest and most exciting theme park filled with a variety of rides, shows and attractions. See the Tower of Terror - the world's tallest and fastest thrill ride with speeds of up to 160 km per hour. And, if you think that's the ultimate thrill ride, hop onto the Giant Drop and freefall from 38 storeys!

Seaworld - Make contact with marine life wonders and experience a whole world of amazing rides, shows and attractions at Sea World. Prepare for a day of unique experiences as you discover why Sea World is one of Australia's most loved theme parks.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary - Situated beside the main highway and still only metres from the sandy white beaches of the Gold Coast, the Sanctuary provides an opportunity to come face to face with native animals in their natural surroundings. Drop in and hand feed the hundred’s of Lorikeets at  feeding time.

Northern NSW

Gingers Creek and The Oxley Highway - The Oxley Highway provides a 54 km winding challenge for road bikes, which combined with long open straights for cruising, has given it one of the best names for road riding in Eastern Oz. Try it if you dare! Stop at Gingers Creek Bush Resort overnight or just for a great feed and fuel on the way.
 

Victoria

Great Ocean Road – This trip is truly spectacular, twisting and winding roads marked with holiday towns, breathtaking views, forests and dramatic coastal formations including the awesome Twelve Apostles – world recognised icons. The Great Ocean Road ranks as one of the best motorcyling roads in the country.
 
With more than 400 kilometres of coastal road, and not to mention the  hundreds of kilometres of inland highways, the Great Ocean Road is definitely a touring holiday you should allow plenty of time to enjoy it. Simply choose from the great southern route - travelling through Geelong, Ballarat and Warrnambool. The Shipwreck Trail taking you past Port Phillip Heads and Nelson. Two States Touring - Spectacular costal scenery, lakes, caves and wineries. Discover Volcanoes or travel on a round trip past Geelong and Lavers Hill, and discover the Spectacular Waterfalls and Fascinating Rainforests.
