HARLEY-DAVIDSON WORK WITH INDUSTRY-LEADING LID MAKERS TO GIVE YOU THE BEST PROTECTION WE CAN.

One helmet might work for every journey – or you might want options. What matters most to you. Ventilation? Sun deflection? Weight? Price?
Communication*? Maybe you want two helmets to cover all the bases.

New to riding? Check out the different materials. Try on different styles. Make sure you choose the right helmet for you.

GET THE RIGHT FIT FOR THE BEST PROTECTION

All helmets fit differently, so test before buying:

1. Put on the helmet. Tighten the strap until it’s not easy to slip a finger
into the gap with your chin. Now roll the helmet forward. If it can come
off, try a size down.
2. Move the helmet side-to-side and front-to-back. Your skin and
scalp should move with the helmet. It should fit as tight as you can
comfortably wear it, because the inner liner will compress with use.
3. Check your field of vision. Look left, right, up, down. You want to see
danger coming, so make sure no part of the helmet blocks your view.

A WORD TO THE WISE

Glues, resins, and other helmet materials break down over time.
Hair, sweat, oils, cosmetics and UV rays can speed up the process.
So manufacturers recommend replacing a helmet every 3-5 years.
Check yours and change when necessary.
